Dr. Leanne Casaubon completed her medical training at Dalhousie University in 1999 followed by a residency in Neurology, a two-year stroke fellowship and an MSc. in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Casaubon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is a Clinician Investigator and Neurologist in the Division of Neurology and the Stroke Program at the Toronto Western Hospital (TWH)/ University Health Network, which is the Regional Stroke Centre for the Toronto West Stroke Region. She is also the Director of the TIA and Minor Stroke (TAMS) Unit at TWH.
Dr. Casaubon’s clinical research interests include stroke outcomes research (eg, evaluating prognostic factors such as glucose, sex/ gender differences in stroke outcomes, and ethnic/ cultural aspects of stroke care and outcomes). She is also involved in evaluating patient care models for improving secondary stroke prevention and participates in larger randomized clinical stroke trials.
