Whether you are a staff member, educator, learner, or an engaged member of the community, this week is an opportunity to explore resources and events that support knowledge-sharing and professional growth at UHN.
Empowering the Next Generation of Researchers
UHN’s Office of Research Trainees (ORT) is committed to equipping future scientists with essential skills for career success. The ORT regularly offers workshops, webinars, and events to provide opportunities for over 2,000 research students and postdoctoral researchers to build their research and professional development skills. With a dedication to making continuous learning accessible, most of their offerings are open to all members of TeamUHN and the broader scientific community.

UHN STEM Pathways: Opening Doors to Science
UHN STEM Pathways is dedicated to making science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education accessible to K-12 students from all backgrounds. Since 2022, this initiative has facilitated over 18,000 youth interactions for students through free, hands-on workshops, tours, career panels, and more.
Recent milestones include the PA Day at UHN program, which has introduced students to research and health care through immersive experiences such as in-person cancer workshops and imaging lab tours. With 328 outreach events and a growing team of over 400 UHN staff and volunteers, UHN STEM Pathways continues to inspire young minds.
