The UHN Microfabrication Centre offers unique capabilities for prototyping and microfabrication of polymer-based lab-on-a-chip devices. The facility is led by Academic Advisor Dr. Lothar Lilge and Manager Duoaud Shah.
Overview
The UHN Microfabrication Centre, located in room 9-401 of the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower (PMCRT), has capabilities that include photolithography, wet chemistry, hot embossing, electroplating and substrate bonding. The facility is housed within two cleanrooms, certified to ISO 6 and ISO 7 standards. The available equipment and tools complement those available in the cleanroom network at the University of Toronto.
The centre works closely with academics from UHN, other research institutes and universities, as well as with industry partners.
