Our group is interested in the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying immunologic diseases. We focus on identifying the gene variants conferring risk for such autoimmune diseases as rheumatoid arthritis, primary biliary cholangitis and vasculitis and on defining the molecular and cellular pathways which couple specific genetic variants to cell dysfunction and disease. Our work is also aimed at translating this genetic knowledge into new diagnostic tools to support personalized health care.
