Dr. Farid Foroutan is a clinical epidemiologist and biostatistician whose work bridges advanced analytical methods with clinical medicine, particularly in heart failure, transplantation, and prognosis research. He serves as an Associate Scientist at the University Health Network’s Ted Rogers Computation Program in Toronto and is part-time faculty in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster University. Dr. Foroutan also co-leads the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) working group on prognosis. An award-winning scholar, he has received distinctions including the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, and has published extensively in high-impact journals such as BMJ and JAMA.
