My research program focuses on several interests or themes related to aging, health and care: 1) understanding stigma in the context of dementia care in community and institutional settings; 2) contributing to the development of theories, policies and practices that support relational caring in dementia care settings; and 3) developing and evaluating arts-based initiatives that reduce stigma associated with dementia and foster relational caring.
