Dr. Ha's research is focused on the impact of arrhythmia therapies on patient-centered outcomes. In particular, he is interested in atrial fibrillation (AF), which is the most common heart rhythm condition encountered in clinical practice. Specifically, Dr. Ha studies the use of oral anticoagulation for AF-related stroke prevention, post-operative AF after cardiac surgery and AF ablation. Dr. Ha employs various research methods, including randomized clinical trials, "real-world" registries and administrative databases (big data) to generate clinically-relevant research that is useful for clinicians, patients and health policy makers.
