Research team receives awards from Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.

TRI Researchers Drs. Pascal van Lieshout, Aravind Namasivayam and Frank Rudcicz are among eight scientists that received the prestigious Excellence in Applied Research Award from Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
The awards acknowledge research that supports evidence-based clinical practice in speech-language pathology and audiology.
The team received the award for their “Motor Speech Research Study”, which helped to inform the development of an evidence-based care pathway for identifying and treating children over 36 months of age with severe speech sound disorders. The province-wide project, led by Dr. Namasivayam, involved several internationally recognized researchers and speech language pathologists from Ontario and the Netherlands.
