Melanie Cohn is a Scientist and clinical neuropsychologist at the Krembil Brain Institute. Her work bridges experimental and clinical cognitive neuroscience. In her clinical role, she diagnoses cognitive deficits in various neurological populations, and assesses the cognitive risk of neurosurgical treatments such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinson’s disease. On the research side, she primarily investigates episodic memory using behavioural and neuroimaging techniques in healthy and clinical populations. Additional research themes include cultural diversity and neuropsychological assessment, as well as social cognition. She collaborates on multidisciplinary studies involving neuroimaging diagnostic tools and neuromodulation (DBS).
