UHN has been honoured by the University of Waterloo Co-Operative Education Program with an award as one of their top employers. The award recognizes UHN as one of the leading 20 not-for-profit employers from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) region that have hired the greatest number of co-op students over the past three years.
The University of Waterloo Top Employer Awards will be presented at the GTA Employer Awards & Appreciation Reception on January 22, 2015 at the Toronto Board of Trade. Carl Virtanen, Manager of Bioinformatics Services at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, will accept the award on behalf of UHN and speak about the role that co-op students have played in his team and the value of the Waterloo Science co-op program to UHN.
