TRI Senior Scientist, Dr. Angela Colantonio was recently honoured as the recipient of the 2015 Robert L. Moody Prize from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Health Professions.
The award is presented annually to an individual that has made significant contributions to research and rehabilitation within the field of acquired brain injury. Dr. Colantonio’s research into the epidemiology of traumatic brain injury has led to new insights on how it impacts the lives of those most vulnerable to health service inequities, such as older adults, and homeless and criminalized people. Her work has also examined the impact of gender on treatment outcomes.
