The ORT Times is a monthly e-newsletter focused on UHN trainees featuring news and editorials about trainee life, articles to help developing researchers get the most out of their training experience at UHN, tips on career development, and research training opportunities within and outside of UHN. This monthly newsletter is possible through the extensive effort put forth by our four science writers. These talented writers are trainees at UHN and provide insight into the trainee life at UHN. Why did you choose to become a writer for the ORT Times: An integral part of research translation is dissemination of complex information to general audiences. I have combined my love of writing with my content expertise in research to write articles for publications such as The Training Post (The Hospital for Sick Children), the IMS Magazine (University of Toronto), and now the ORT Times (University Health Network), in order to facilitate research translation. I enjoy writing on a range of topics, including the latest research, controversial issues, and trainee life. I do my best to present the facts, as well as some food for thought, and felt that this made me a good fit for the ORT Times.

Why did you choose to become a writer for the ORT Times: I chose to become an ORT Times writer because of the platform and outlet it provides for me to creatively share critical research with the broader public. ORT looks forward to our writers providing yet another year of stimulating and thought provoking articles!
