Researchers identify marker that could unlock the clinical potential of a new stem cell.
Posted On: July 22, 2015
The July issue of the McEwen Monthly is now available online!
This month's issue highlights a study by McEwen Centre Researcher Dr. Peter Zandstra, which reveals a way to identify and track a new type of stem cell, known as an F-class stem cell. Use of the marker should enable production of stem cell populations with less heterogeneity that could potentially be used in the clinic.
Also read about the 2015 recipients of the McEwen Award for Innovation, as well as new funding for translational stem cell and regenerative medicine research.
