Congratulations to Drs. Mary Gospodarowicz and Jay Keystone for receiving appointments to the Order of Canada for their outstanding contributions to health care.
Dr. Mary Gospodarowicz was named an Officer of the Order of Canada for advancing and improving cancer radiotherapy and for her leadership in cancer care around the world.
Dr. Jay Keystone was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada for his expertise as a clinician and educator within the discipline of tropical and infectious disease.
The Order of Canada, one of our country's highest civilian honours, was established in 1967 during Canada's centennial year. Appointments to the Order are three-tiered (Companion, Officer or Member) and recognize outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
